  1. Named a High-Performing School District by the State of Missouri for ten consecutive years, the Liberty Public School District has received the highest accreditation given to a Missouri school district. Only six percent of school districts state-wide have received this honor for ten straight years.
  2. Liberty students consistently score above state and national norms on standardized tests and rank in the top three in the state for ACT scores.
  3. Among Liberty Schools Accomplishments:
    - Math and science leader in KC Metro Area
    - State leader in foreign language instruction
    - Missouri Teacher of the Year
    - Missouri Outstanding Administrator of the Year
  4. Liberty school patrons passed a $58 million bond issue with 78% of the vote, in April of 2008. As a result, the district opened its tenth elementary school, Kellybrook Elementary, in August 2009; its second high school, Liberty North, opened in August of 2010. As a follow-up, in April 2010, patrons approved an $8 million bond for completion of Phase II for Liberty High School.
  5. Named a Project Lead the Way (PLTW) model school. This award-winning, nationally-recognized pre-engineering program is offered to junior high and high school students.
  6. National Champion in Forensics: State Champions in Scholar Bowl, Theatre, Softball, Cross Country, Track, Cheerleading and Pom Pom.
  7. Liberty Public Schools has its own broadcasting station, KLPS-TV, Channel 18.
  8. National Pacemaker awards and Show-Me-State award in Journalism and Broadcasting.
  9. National Salute District for technology program and National school Library Media Program of the Year award winner.
  10. 2009 winner of Commissioner’s Award for Professional Development.
